Scanning Links and Buttons
After setup, scanning happens directly in your browsing session.
How scanning is triggered
- Move your cursor over links and clickable button-like elements.
- Scanos extracts the destination and sends a reputation lookup request.
- A status signal is returned so you can decide before clicking.
Interpreting scan timing
- First scans can take slightly longer due to network round trips.
- Cached or repeated targets are often faster.
- Slow responses typically indicate network delay or upstream API throttling.
Practical usage tips
- Pause briefly on unfamiliar links to allow verdict retrieval.
- Combine Scanos verdicts with URL inspection before opening sensitive pages.
- Avoid clicking immediately when a target is still being evaluated.
