Scanos Documentation

Scanning Links and Buttons

After setup, scanning happens directly in your browsing session.

How scanning is triggered

  • Move your cursor over links and clickable button-like elements.
  • Scanos extracts the destination and sends a reputation lookup request.
  • A status signal is returned so you can decide before clicking.

Interpreting scan timing

  • First scans can take slightly longer due to network round trips.
  • Cached or repeated targets are often faster.
  • Slow responses typically indicate network delay or upstream API throttling.

Practical usage tips

  • Pause briefly on unfamiliar links to allow verdict retrieval.
  • Combine Scanos verdicts with URL inspection before opening sensitive pages.
  • Avoid clicking immediately when a target is still being evaluated.
